Hamidreza Sakhaei is a Ph.D. Candidate in Architecture at Adelaide University and Australian Research Centre for Interactive and Virtual Environments (IVE). After completing his bachelor's degree in Architecture, he pursued a master's degree in the same program with a focus on quantifying spatial cognition by exploring film spaces. Being his Ph.D. research part an Australian Research Council Discovery Project Grant (ARC DP), he is currently working on applying and exploring Virtual Reality systems to better support Parametric design.
I am investigating how embodiment influences designers’ cognitive processes when using parametric design tools on desktop platforms and in immersive virtual reality. My work integrates parametric workflows with VR prototypes to examine how embodied interaction shapes design cognition, offering insights that inform both architectural design practice and the development of immersive design tools.
