Dr Haiying Kang is an Associate Professor in Human Resource Management at the University of Adelaide. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and a Master of Commerce (Performance Management) from the University of Adelaide, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Human Resource Management) from the University of South Australia. Prior to joining the University of Adelaide, she was the Senior Lecturer in HRM at RMIT University where she worked in roles of HDR Coordinator of School of Management, and Co-Theme Leader (Multicultural Inclusion) at the Centre of Organisations and Social Change. 
 
Haiying’s main research interests are HRM and International HRM. More specifically, her research focuses on interactions within workgroups and teams, mentoring, career management, employee health and wellbeing, work design in global context, cross cultural management, and expatriate management. She has published in leading HRM and IB journals, such as Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management Journal, Human Resource Management Review, Applied Psychology, International Business Review, and Management International Review, among others. Her work has also been featured in media such as The Conversations, and Psychology Today. She has received several grants from Australian government and philanthropic organisations.
 
Haiying is currently the Chair of Early Career Review Board for Personnel Review. She also serves as a Lead Editor for journal special issues such as Personnel Review. She has served as an Associate Editor at Journal of Management and Organization.
