My research focuses on characterising a range of genes responsible for driving the emergence and spread of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria across animals, the environment, and humans within a One Health framework. By integrating genomic and bioinformatic approaches, My research aims to identify and track resistance genes, mobile genetic elements, and their transmission pathways across these interconnected domains through the utilisation of genomic and bioinformatic approaches. Ultimately, this contributes to a better understanding of how antimicrobial resistance develops and disseminates at the interface of human, animal, and environmental health.
