Guanghui Li is a doctoral researcher at the University of Adelaide, focusing on circular economy solutions to agricultural food waste and the role of insect in sustainable food systems. With a strong foundation in food science and sustainability studies, he integrates academic approaches with practical perspectives to examine both the technical potential and the socio-cultural dimensions of insect-based products. His work explores the factors that shape public acceptance and establishment of the trust in insect area.
Additionally, he is particularly interested in how Indigenous knowledge and practices can inform more inclusive approaches to alternative protein development and new flavour innovation. By addressing both cultural and industry challenges, Guanghui’s research not only contributes to reducing food waste and promoting sustainable food innovations but also supports the responsible growth of emerging insect enterprises.
