Ms McBride is a research officer in the HESRI unit, School of Public Health, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.

Ms McBride is also a PhD student at the University of Adelaide Medical School, based at the SAHMRI Women's and Children's Hospital site. She is supervised by A/Prof Grzeskowiak, A/Prof Rumbold and A/Prof Keir. Her PhD is focused on evaluating the use of domperidone and other galactagogues in clinical practice, particularly following preterm birth. She completed a Masters of Medical Science at the University of South Australia in 2019 where she examined the metabolism of medications in complicated pregnancies.
In addition to her PhD, Grace is actively involved in recruitment for clinical trials. This includes the Predictors of Milk Output following Preterm Birth (PROMO) study which is recruiting women who have had a preterm baby under 34 weeks gestation and prospectively following them over time to identify factors influencing breast milk supply.
