Centre for Cancer Biology
College of Health
Dr. Giang Lam is an Early-Career Research Fellow at the Centre for Cancer Biology, Adelaide University. Her research interests centre on the role of the inflammatory tumour microenvironment in promoting disease progression and therapy resistance. She has a strong track record in cancer research, biomarker development, and preclinical drug assessment across oral cancer, melanoma, colorectal and prostate cancer. Dr. Lam completed her PhD in Medical Science at the University of South Australia in 2023, identifying dysregulated endosomal–lysosomal genes and four immunohistochemically validated biomarker candidates to support early melanoma diagnosis. In her current role in the Prostate Tumour Microenvironment & Therapeutics Laboratory, she applies her expertise in cell and molecular biology to uncover key mechanisms that regulate tumour growth and metastatic potential in prostate cancer, with the goal of identifying novel therapeutic targets. Dr. Lam welcomes new collaborations in translational therapeutics, immuno oncology, spatial omics, biomarker validation, and preclinical drug development.
