I am a medical researcher with a background in pharmacy, clinical pharmacology and translational biomedical research. I completed my PhD in Medicine at the University of Adelaide in 2025.
My doctoral research investigated the mechanisms underlying diabetic heart failure and potential therapeutic strategies, with a particular focus on cardiac and vascular dysfunction, endothelial glycocalyx damage, and the therapeutic potential of poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase-1 (PARP-1) inhibition using experimental models of diabetes.
My broader research interests include cardiovascular pathophysiology, vascular biology, endothelial function, diabetic complications and translational therapeutics. I am particularly interested in bridging experimental and clinical research to advance our understanding of cardiovascular disease and improve therapeutic approaches.
I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Medicine at Adelaide University.
