I am a PhD candidate in the School of Psychology at the University of Adelaide, supervised by Associate Professor Diana Dorstyn and Associate Professor Melissa Oxlad.

My research investigates the health literacy (and eHealth literacy) of individuals with a Spinal Cord Injury or Disorder (SCI/D) in Australia. I am interested in understanding the strengths and challenges of this group in accessing, understanding, and using health information and services, as well as the role of SCI/D and disability organisations, health professionals, and informal social supports in helping develop health-literate communities.

I also seek to collaborate with disability service providers to develop guidelines for research end-users - including government and non-government organisations, health and medical professionals, and consumers with SCI/D - so that they can deliver health-literate services and information to meet the needs of individuals with SCI/D and their families.
