Garumma T Feyissa (MPH) is a scholar (HDR fellow) in the School of Public Health. Garumma has both research and teaching experiences in Jimma University and Goba Health Sciences College. He holds masters degree (MPH) with specialty in Health Promotion and Bachelor degree in Health Officer. As a result of his professional experience and research outputs, Garumma has been academically promoted to a level of an assistant professor in the department of Health Education and Behavioral Sciences in Jimma University. His professional and research interests are:
1. Evidence-based medicine: knowledge syntheses and knowledge translation
2. Design, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based health care services and programs
3. Primary epidemiological and behavioral researches: qualitative and quantitative researches on infectious and chronic diseases, and social, behavioral and environmental determinants of health
4. Teaching
5. Provision of short-term training (accredited trainer for training programs such as comprehensive systematic reviews, Health system research, scales of measurement for behavioral researches, IMNCI, syndromic management of STI and community mobilization for health and development
5. Health system research: piloting and evaluation of new and existing programs programs and services
