I am a Senior lecturer in Contemporary Art and lecture in the first year Foundation course 3D Contemporary Art Studio , the second year course Contemporary Art Practice and the third year courses Studio A and Studio B in addition to supervising  in the Contemporary Art Honors and Masters programs.
In the glass workshop I teach the courses  'Hot Glass Techniques and Processes' and 'Kiln Formed Glass Techniques and Processes'
The skills taught in these courses  equip students with the necessary knowledge of how to work as professional emerging artists in the field of glass,or, if they are not specialising in glass, how they can intergrate the materiality of glass into their major studies such  jewellery, sculpture, printing, ceramics, photography, painting, product design or architecture.

Gabriellas solo exhibition 'First breath, last breath, Everything In between ' is currently showing at Jam Factory until 24 November 2024.

The work explores themes of ageing, disease, transience, and the way that changes to the human body can be translated through glass practice. This work draws from the ancient Roman adoption of the term ‘memento mori’ (‘remember that you must die’), with the works in this exhibition referencing and acknowledging the changing boundaries of our bodies as we enter new phases of our lives.

Description: "Passages" is a multi-art collaboration between Brian Castro, John Young and Khai Liew, three of Australia's pre-eminent artists in the fields of literature, art and design. Passages connotes travel and the disruption of regular or familiar time and place. It suggests notions of deterritorialisation whereby orthodox understandings of history, nation, identity and belonging are destabilised and the possibility of alternative epistemologies and subjectivities can be entertained. This exhibition provides new knowledge in situating text, painting and furniture design in the context of the biographies of the artists; i.e. their "Asian" origins and Australian formation. It was reviewed postively in The Age, The Melbourne Review and the Issiad Review.. Extent: 78 pages.

2021 Bisetto, G. (2021). In House (No. Of Pieces: In-House is the University of South Australia’s fourth biennial research exhibition, presented at JamFactory and supported through the ongoing partnership between these two key South Australian institutions. Curated around the chandelier, the exhibition invited a diverse group of creatives working across a wide range of materials to use this iconic form as a starting point for new work. Evolving from a humble utilitarian light fitting, the chandelier became an elaborate symbol of technical mastery, complex design, luxury, wealth, and status. For In-House, the chandelier functioned as a catalyst for designers and makers to re-examine this iconic form in the context of contemporary issues through their own mediums. The exhibitors were encouraged to challenge its conventional meanings and explore alternative conceptual and material outcomes. The final works include responses made from textiles, print, photography, metal, acrylic, wood, and reclaimed materials, reflecting the diversity of approaches and inventive potential of contemporary practice. From reinterpretations and deconstructions to playful, critical, and reflective engagements, the exhibition offered a wide range of perspectives: from horror-inspired chandeliers to recreations of chandeliers documented by deep-sea robots within the Titanic wreck, to new-age “assemble your own” flat-pack designs.By framing the chandelier as a point of departure rather than a fixed symbol, in-house encouraged multiple perspectives on its cultural history and contemporary legacy. Co-curated by Gabriella Bisetto and Andrew Welch, the exhibition features new work by Stephen Atkinson, Chris Boha, Louise Bird, Julie Collins, Melanie Cooper, Ron Corso, Matt Huppatz, Mark Kimber, Michael Kutschbach, Joanna Majchrowska, Peter Schumacher, Peter Walker, and Hanah Williams.)
