I study how language and texts (particularly narratives) are comprehended. I also investigate the embodiment of language and emotions. More recently, I have become interested in understanding how embodiment can explain cross-modal (multisensory) perception (processing).

Research methods and statistics:
I study robust statistical analyses of reaction times and Likert-type data and investigate outlier detection methods, normality tests, statistical graphics, estimators of central tendency, and confidence intervals.

My research focuses on the embodiment of language and emotions (including how embodiment can account for cross-modal (multisensory) perception and processing). Additionally, I explore topics within the realm of human-AI teaming and interactions, such as trust in algorithms, AI alignment, artificial cognition, and more.

Research methods and statistics

My research involves the examination of robust statistical analyses for reaction times and Likert-type data (including outlier detection methods, normality tests, statistical graphics, estimators of central tendency, and confidence intervals). Additionally, I am concentrating on a statistical learning framework called GAMLSS (Generalised Additive Models for Location, Scale, and Shape).

^: Through collaborations with my international research network, I strive to produce research that is statistically robust, conceptually sound, methodologically rigorous, replicable, and generalizable. This focus on quality ensures meaningful contributions to the field.
