I study how language and texts (particularly narratives) are comprehended. I also investigate the embodiment of language and emotions. More recently, I have become interested in understanding how embodiment can explain cross-modal (multisensory) perception (processing).

Research methods and statistics:
I study robust statistical analyses of reaction times and Likert-type data and investigate outlier detection methods, normality tests, statistical graphics, estimators of central tendency, and confidence intervals.

Teaching
Psychology

I have taught the courses ‘Foundations of Perception and Cognition’ and ‘Introduction to Psychology’ at the schools of psychology in two Australian universities; the University of Adelaide and the University of Ballarat.

Research methods and statistics

I have taught courses in statistics and methodology in two different faculties at The University of Adelaide. Specifically, I have tutored the course ‘Doing Research in Psychology’ [School of Psychology, University of Adelaide] and lectured the course ‘Numeracy for University (Statistical Literacy)’ [School of Education, University of Adelaide]. As a matter of fact, I designed this latter course from the ground up and I not only am its lecturer, but also its tutor.
