In my masters research, I mathematically model the temperature in microstructured optical fibre fabrication, under the supervision of Prof Yvonne Stokes, Prof Heike Ebendorff-Heidepriem, and Dr Hayden Tronnolone. The model is based on partial differential equations and it is solved numerically.
