Mr Elvis Munyoka is a passionate professional development practitioner. He is currently a PhD candidate with the Justice and Unity Society at the University of South Australia. His research focuses on the transition experiences of young people from African humanitarian backgrounds from higher education to employment. He holds a first-class Bachelor of Arts honours degree in Development Studies from Midlands State University in Zimbabwe, a Master of Science degree in International Relations from the University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom, and a certificate in Programme Management: A Monitoring and Evaluation Approach from the University of Cape Town. He has extensive practical experience working with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and government agencies in Africa and Europe. His research interests include humanitarian and community development, migration, African politics, human rights and global politics, international development, and the African political economy. He is an active member of the Development Practitioners Network (DPN) forum. He has sound qualitative and quantitative research skills.
