I have built a career as an enducator in math, physics, astronomy, and engineering across university and high school level. My PhD is in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with research related to directly imaging exoplanets.

I work in the field of exoplanets (planets not in our Solar System). I design and build optics and write algorithms for 8 to 10 meter ground-based telescopes to directly image the light coming from exoplanets. I also work in the pedagogy of teaching. I consistently update my courses each semester to include student-centric design to maximize student learning outcomes.
