Ee Lin Tek is a PhD graduate from the Department of Wine and Food Science at the University of Adelaide. Ee Lin was part of the Wine Microbiology and Microbial Biotechnology group where she performed research and completed a thesis titled "Phenotypic Investigation of Biofilm Formation and Transcriptional Analysis of Invasive Growth of Commercial Wine Saccharomyces cerevisiae".

My PhD project explores 3 main questions:

  • Do wine yeast possess biofilm forming abilities? How does it change in low nitrogen conditions?
  • How do signalling molecules affect wine yeast biofilms?
  • What is the regulation of invasive growth and what implications it has in the wine context?
