Eden Blazejak is a Post Doctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Adelaide. His research interests include Hellenistic political philosophy, democratic theory, referendums, electoral studies, and the conceptual history of the liberal-democratic tradition, and he currently teaches in the courses:
POLIS 2107 - Passions and Interests: The History of Greed
POLIS 3115 - Australian Electoral Democracy!
His PhD thesis, titled “Hobbes and the two Epicuruses: the Reception and Misunderstood Influence of Epicureanism in Early Modern Political Thought” traces the reception and uptake of Epicurean political philosophy in early modernity, and was awarded a Dean’s Commendation for Doctoral Thesis Excellence. He has co-authored a book (with Professor Lisa Hill) titled "Stoicism and the Western Political Tradition" (London: Palgrave Macmillan, 2021).
Eden is also an editor of the Electoral Regulation Research Network (ERRN) Working Paper Series.
