Dinusha Costa
Higher Degree by Research Candidate
Adelaide Business School
Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics
Dinusha Costa is a PhD Candidate at the University of Adelaide Business School, specializing in research at the intersection of entrepreneurship and social psychology. His work explores the psychological processes entrepreneurs experience after exiting business ventures they once built.
In today’s dynamic business landscape, it is common for entrepreneurs to leave their ventures for various reasons. Serial and habitual entrepreneurs, in particular, often navigate multiple venture exits throughout their careers. However, current research provides limited insight into the psychological journey entrepreneurs undergo during these transitions and how it shapes their future entrepreneurial endeavours.
Dinusha’s research seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of post-venture processes, examining why some entrepreneurs are motivated to embark on new ventures while others are not. His findings aim to bridge critical gaps in the literature, offering valuable perspectives on post-venture entrepreneurial behaviours.
In addition to his academic research career, Dinusha brings 18 years of professional business consulting experience, working closely with small and medium-sized entrepreneurs. This hands-on experience has deeply informed his research, ensuring its practical relevance to real-world entrepreneurial challenges.
