Eligible to supervise Masters and PhD (as Co-Supervisor) - email supervisor to discuss availability.
I am a plant geneticist with interests in genetic mapping and plant breeding. After completing my PhD at the University of Guelph, I held academic positions at McGill University and then the University of Adelaide. I retired in 2021, but I continue to be active in research.
In my research on plant genetics and its application in plant breeding, I have worked on several crop species and many traits. I am particularly interested in host plant resistance against parasitic nematodes and end-use quality of grain crops.
I also oversee a DNA testing service that does marker genotyping for internal and external collaborators and clients.
