Biography/Background 

In March 2017, Dr Dubal joined the School of Chemical Engineering of the University of Adelaide (UoA) as a "Research for Impact Fellow". He is previous recipient of two most prestigious fellowships: Marie-Curie at ICN2, Spain and Alexander von Humboldt at TUC, Germany. Dr. Dubal has co-authored more than 148 research articles including Chem. Soc. Rev., Adv. Mater., Nano Energy, NPG Asia Materials, 2D Materials, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, ChemSusChem etc. and achieved over 7000 citations, 'h' index: 46 and 'i10' index 106 (Google Scholar). He has edited one book, contributed several book chapters and filed seven patents including five Indian, one European and one Spanish. His research interest is focused on development of advanced functional materials and nanocomposites, new oxides, polyoxometalates, and polymers for energy storage devices with special emphasis on Li-ion batteries, beyond Li-ion batteries, Supercapacitors, Electrochemical Flow Cells and hybrid Li-capacitor. He is a member of the Editorial board of Scientific Reports, Nature Publishing Group and Electrochemical Energy Technology from De Gruyder publications, Germany. 

Research Interest

At various levels of research career, Dr. Dubal has developed a variety of disciplines and research topics, including thin films, semiconductors, gas sensors, solar cells and very specially energy storage materials and devices. Following are his different research lines of interest

  • Thin Film Deposition Techniques (Chemical synthesis)
  • Advanced Functional Materials and Hybrid Nano-materials 
  • Organic-Inorganic Nanocomposites (Polymer-metal oxides and Polymer-polyoxometalates)
  • Bio-waste derived porous carbon materials
  • Supercapacitors including All Solid-state supercapacitors
  • Electrochemical Flow Cells (Redox flow Batteries)
  • Li-ion Battery and Li-ion capacitors 
  • Beyond Li-ion battery (Specially K-ion battery)

 International/National Collaborators
