I'm the co-leader (along with Marta Krasowska) of the Surface Interactions and Soft Matter (SISM) Group at the Future Industries Institute at UniSA. Our science falls into 3 main areas of fundamental chemistry: (i) bubble and droplet interfaces; (ii) polymer layers at interfaces; and (iii) ionic liquids at interfaces. These areas of chemistry are essential for the understanding and development of applications such as: (i) mineral processing; (ii) lubrication; (iii) food texture and stability; and (iv) nanomedicine and biomaterials. We pursue novel science in these application areas in partnership with the Australian Federal and South Australian State Governments, national and international industry, and our colleagues and collaborators at UniSA and other universities in Australia and overseas.
