Darcie obtained her undergraduate degrees from Murdoch University graduating in 2018. She stayed on at the Murdoch University veterinary teaching hospital to complete an internship in 2019 obtaining a Graduate Diploma of Education at the same time. Darcie moved back to Adelaide right at the start of 2020 and has since spend time in private practice veterinary emergency and critical care, general practice, and working for TAFESA.Darcie obtained Memberships with the ANZVCS in Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2023 and then joined the Roseworthy Veterinary Hospital team at the start of 2024, transitioning to her current academic role in August of that year as a Lecturer in Veterinary Anaesthesiology. Darcie has strong interests in anaesthesia, critical care, pain management, and triage and trauma management. She is currently undertaken a Master of Clinical Education due for completion at the end of 2028.

I currently teach into the all years of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program, with a focus on anaesthesiology, emergency medicine, and critical care.
Topics include:
- fluid therapy physiology and clinical usage
- injectable anaesthetics
- shock
- snake bite envenomation
- tick envenomation
- toxicities and poisonings in small animals
- triage
- management of trauma
I also participate in a significant amount of hands-on clinical education for our final year students through clinical rotation.
I have helped to rework the currently delivered anaesthesia course content, and am involved in continual development of the anaesthesia core rotation.
