I am a civil engineer and academic committed to advancing knowledge through research and innovation. I am currently pursuing a PhD at the Adelaide University, where my research focuses on coastal sustainability, ecosystem resilience, and environmentally responsible coastal development. My work centers on coastal protection, marine pollution mitigation, and sustainable coastal infrastructure, with the goal of supporting resilient coastal communities in the face of climate and development pressures. With a strong academic foundation and practical exposure, I bring an applied and interdisciplinary perspective to both research and teaching.
My research sits at the intersection of environmental science and coastal engineering, with a focus on integrating quantitative modelling approaches to better understand and manage coastal systems. I am particularly interested in how systems dynamics and environmental modelling tools can be applied to complex coastal problems; from pollutant fate and transport in marine sediments to the long-term trajectory of ecosystem recovery.
My current work centres on modelling heavy metal contamination dynamics in coastal environments using stock-and flow approaches, combining geochemical process modelling with ecological frameworks to inform more holistic assessments of environmental risk and resilience. Underpinning this is a broader commitment to developing modelling solutions that are not only technically rigorous but practically useful for the sustainable management of coastal ecosystems.
