Ms Claire Morey

Claire Morey completed her Master of Philosophy in History at the University of Adelaide in 2021. Her area of expertise is domestic violence in nineteenth-century South Australia, with a particular focus on economic abuse and divorce. Claire's thesis was awarded a Dean's Commendation for Research Thesis Excellence.
Claire is currently employed as a Project Officer at the Australian Centre for Housing Research where she manages the ARC LIEF project titled 'Australian Housing Conditions Data Infrastructure'. This project aims to build a comprehensive dataset of the housing conditions of 22,500 homeowners and renters in Australia, providing a knowledge base for national and international research and allowing better urban, economic and social policy development. In addition, Claire provides administrative and research support for the Australian Centre for Housing Research.
Claire also works as a Senior Research Assistant at Flinders University on the ARC Linkage project 'A History of Domestic Violence in Australia, 1850 to 2020' with Associate Professor Catherine Kevin, Dr Zora Simic, and Professor Ann Curthoys.
