Dr Chao Huang has published over 100 journal papers, conference papers, and book chapters, with more than 80% appearing in Q1 journals, spanning autonomous systems, robotics, UAVs, intelligent vehicles, and human–machine collaboration. Dr Huang has been recognised in Stanford University’s World’s Top 2% Scientists list (2023–2025), serves as Associate Editor for several leading journals, and has held Program Chair, Track Chair, and Session Chair roles at major international conferences. As Principal Investigator, Dr Huang has secured over AUD$1 million in competitive research funding and led teams of postdoctoral researchers, PhD students, and research assistants in autonomous systems and intelligent transportation research.
