Chad is an academic, educator and industry professional who is passionate about supporting other educators to provide exceptional learning experiences to learners and communities.

With a PhD in English literary studies, Chad moved into student and academic development work at Flinders and the University of Adelaide and then onto the University of South Australia. After a career break to act as primary carer, he acted on his lifelong interest in video games to work as Games Producer Trainer and then Head of Faculty (Graduate Programs) at the Academic of Interactive Entertainment. During that time he also co-founded his own company, Bad Plan Studios, to help develop their debut title End of Ember as Production Director. Don't look it up, it's disgusting.

Chad has now 'returned' to Adelaide University to continue working with colleagues to help students on heir lifelong journey path. He has a deeply collaborative approach and is always up for a coffee or lunch. Please reach out!

My research ranges from Higher Education, leadership, organisational development and educational technology to game development and production. As of August 2026, I am picking up research activity again after a hiatus of several years due to a career break, and I am keen to collaborate and form relationships to contribute to long-term outcomes.
