Catherine Campbell (she/they) is a teaching academic at Adelaide University, and previously taught at UniSA since 2002. She is a singer, actor, director and educator. Catherine is the Course Coordinator for various courses including PERF 2001 Cabaret: Context & Practice, PERF 3004 Live Performance Production, MUSI 1037 Music Performance, as well as CREA2006 Creativity and the Adelaide Festival and HOSP 3001 Introduction to Festivals. Catherine has previously been Course Coordinator for  PERF 3007 World Music Theatre, PERF 1011 Stage Performance, COMM 2103 Freelance & Enterprise for the Creative Industries, ARCH 2027 Match Studio Projects and PERF 1001 Effective Communication. Catherine celebrates and promotes the excellent learning, inclusivity and investigative culture inherited from UniSA. She previously taught and wrote courses in Arts Management at the Flinders Street School of Music (BA Music). Catherine has a BA (Hons 1st class) from Flinders Univeristy and half a PhD in English Literature (ARC scholarship). She studied an Acting Diploma at AC Arts (then CPA) and a Graduate Diploma of Arts Management at UniSA (City West), as well as at Yale (USA) as the recipient of a scholarship. Catherine is also a long-standing member of the State Opera of South Australia Chorus (1997-).

Catherine was chair of the UniSA National Reconciliation Week Magill Campus Working Group 2022-2025 and honours First Nations people including the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains on which we work and live. Soverignty was never ceded.
