I am working on developing and evaluating a cross-protective whole-inactivated vaccine against nontypable Haemophilus influenzae (NTHi). NTHi is a significant yet under-recognised human pathogen with growing prevalence in various invasive and non-invasive disease settings. Notably, it is now the leading bacterial pathogen causing middle ear infections in children and exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults.
