Dr Camille Short is a behavioural scientist and adjunct senior research fellow at the School of Medicine, University of Adelaide. She completed her PhD in Behavioural Science at the University of Newcastle in 2013, and completed post-doctoral training supported by an NHMRC ECR Fellowship at the University of Adelaide. She is now based at the University of Melbourne where she holds a joint appointment between the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences and Melbourne School of Health Sciences. Her research focuses on understanding health behaviours from a psychological and public health perspective and building scalable technology based interventions to support healthy lifestyle changes to prevent and manage chronic diseases.

My research focuses on novel approaches to promoting and understanding health behaviours, with particular focus on e&mHealth applications, persuasive  and personalised communication. My work is cross-disciplinary, incorporating evidence and theory from health, social and cognitive psychology, computer science, marketing, economics, exercise physiology, nutrition, oncology, and public health. 

I have been awarded over 1 million dollars in competitive external research funds and $90,000 in competitive internal university funds.
