Imagine a ship moving through the ocean, leaving a wake behind. Now, visualise the wake with the ship removed. How can we determine the source of this disturbance? Could it be a submarine, an underwater terrain feature, or aquatic biodiversity?

These questions drive my research as a Master of Philosophy student at The University of Adelaide, where I study the inverse free-surface problem using the Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (KP) equation. My work focuses on inverse methods to be able to determine the underlying topography given a free-surface, involving computational modelling, fluid mechanics, and statistical inference methods.

Prior to my Master of Philosophy degree, I pursued a Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences (Advanced) at The University of Adelaide. I am thrilled to be an Elevate Postgraduate Scholar to support my studies.

I am an enthusiastic tutor at the Maths Learning Centre at The University of Adelaide. I find it extremely rewarding to continuously see students grow and excel in their mathematics coursework. Seeing their enthusiasm and confidence grow in mathematics reinforces my passion for teaching!
