I am a PhD candidate in Urban Design at Adelaide University. My PhD focuses on developing a bottom-up “living locally” framework targeting the elderly population.
• My research explores how ageing in place can be understood through the lens of living locally. I am interested in how older adults experience their neighbourhoods in everyday life, including access to local services, public spaces, mobility, social connection, and a sense of belonging. • I am also involved in an ageing in place project with the Office for Ageing Well in South Australia.
• I aim to contribute to a bottom-up, accessible, age-friendly, and liveable approach to urban design that better supports older adults’ daily needs and local experiences, particularly in low-density Australian urban contexts
