Currently, I am a Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security and Data Science at Adelaide University Online, with extensive experience in teaching, research and academic leadership across Australian (7+ years) and international (8+ years) higher education, complemented by approximately five years of industry experience. I completed my PhD in Computing and Security and have substantial experience in postgraduate program leadership, curriculum and assessment development, academic administration, student engagement, research, scholarship and HDR supervision. My teaching spans undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Cyber Security, Data Science, Information Technology and Computer Science, with a focus on designing high-quality, practice-oriented learning experiences that integrate real-world problem-solving, collaborative learning and emerging technologies, particularly in online learning environments. My research focuses on Cyber Security, particularly data-driven approaches to anomaly detection and feature engineering for protecting critical infrastructure. More broadly, I explore the intersection of machine learning, artificial intelligence and security analytics to develop robust and scalable approaches for detecting emerging threats and strengthening the security and resilience of critical infrastructure systems.

My broader research interests include Cyber Security, Critical Infrastructure Security, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Security Analytics, Anomaly Detection, Feature Engineering, Threat Detection, Data-Driven Cyber Security, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Security and Resilience, Applied Machine Learning for Cyber Security, AI for Cyber Security, and Emerging Cyber Threats. I am particularly interested in bridging research and practice, ensuring that both my teaching and research address industry needs and advance secure, data-driven technologies in the age of artificial intelligence.
