I am the Regional Tutor based in Port Lincoln. I teach in the Aboriginal Pathway Program and other Courses offered with UniSA College / Education Futures. I have been in this role since 2015. I come from a background in health / sports science, outdoor education and enabling education.
I have a Masters of Education and it was during this study that I became strongly influenced by the Positive Psychology theories of American psychologist Martin Seligman and the application of Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn practice of mindfulness and wellbeing. This study has positively shaped the way that I teach and interact with students.
I am interested in the the pedagogy of care, kindness and wellbeing within the teaching environment, both with the online environment and face to face.
