Dr Betty-Jean (B-J) Dee-Price is an Adelaide university disability health researcher with expertise in communication disability, patient and clinician communication self-efficacy, augmentative and alternative communication, social identity theory and disability, mental health and inclusive research methodologies. Located at the South Australian Health and Medical Institute, B-J is chief researcher of the Talking Scrubs project with funding support from the Channel 7 Childrens Research Foundation and UniSA Slingshot grants. B-J is trained and accredited in multiple aumentative and alternative communication approaches. From 2022-2024, B-J was Australia's representative for the council of the International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ISAAC).
