I am a lecturer (education specialist) in the School of Mathematical Sciences. My teaching interests focus on data science and statistics, and in particular how we can improve student learning and broaden student's knowledge. My research interests focus on the use of mathematical and computational techniques to analyse historic documents.
In addition to my ongoing position at AU, I am also in the final months of completing my PhD in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, focusing on the analysis of Australian World War I diaries.
My research interests include natural language processing, optimisation, network analysis, digital/computational humanities, and historical textual analysis. In particular, my current research focuses on a collection of Australian World War I diaries held by the State Library of New South Wales.
