Dr. Anteneh Geremew is a research associate at the UniSA, interested in infectious disease, and antimicrobial resistance. His current research focuses on developing alternative next generation antimicrobial wound dressings and skin substrates for better management of patients with chronic infected wounds. He holds a Bachelor of sciences from University of Gondar, MSc in Medical Microbiology from Addis Ababa University, and a PhD in Medical sciences from UniSA.
Prior to the current position, Dr. Anteneh was a postdoctoral researcher at UniSA and a scientist at SA water, Adelaide, Australia. In addition, Dr. Anteneh has previously worked as a lecturer and researcher at Hawassa University and University of Gondar.
Dr. Anteneh has published more than 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals. The impact of his research work has been recognised by prizes, scholarships, and grant awards. He has been awarded a highly competitive PhD scholarship award funded by the Australian government (Research Training Programme for international student (RTPi), a publication prize award (based on combination of high impact factor publications, multiple publications and first author contributions) for the 2022 academic year from UniSA and research grants from Hawassa University and the University of Gondar.
