I am Anqi, currently pursuing a PhD in molecular and biomedical sciences. My research focuses on cell neurochemistry, developmental biology, genetics, and neurodegenerative diseases. We utilise zebrafish as a model, with particular interest in dihydroceramide desaturase 1 and 2 (DEGS1 and DEGS2) enzymes. They are critical in the de novo biosynthesis of sphingolipids, a key components of cell membranes, particular in brain.
