I am Anqi, currently pursuing a PhD in molecular and biomedical sciences. My research focuses on cell neurochemistry, developmental genetics, neurology, and neurodegenerative diseases. We utilize zebrafish as a model organism, with particular interest in dihydroceramide desaturase 1 and 2 (DEGS1 and DEGS2) enzymes, which are critical in the biosynthesis of sphingolipids—key components of neuronal membranes.
