Miss Anna Kalamkarian

Anna is a PhD candidate with the BetterStart Health and Development Research group in the School of Public Health, passionate about research that helps children and families reach their full potential. In 2022 she was awarded a Westpac Future Leader Scholarship for undertaking her postgraduate research on disentangling multidimensional disadvantage and child protection contact. She has previously completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences, Honours degree in Public Health and worked as a research associate for the BetterStart Group prior to commencing her PhD.
Alongside research, Anna teaches undergraduate and postgraduate public health courses at the University of Adelaide and is passionate about finding ways to inspire curiosity and improve student learning experiences. She is currently the Postgraduate Representative of the Board of Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.
