I am a Graduate Researcher currently completing a PhD in Environmental Psychology. While I have a broad set of research interests centring around human behaviour, I am particularly interested in the interactions between people and nature. This includes the biopsychosocial factors that influence these relationships, how connection with natural spaces can influence wellbeing and behaviour, and ways to improve conservation efforts. I am also interested in public health and have a passion for researching and improving science communication. Additionally, I have experience working with young people and in developing interventions to improve their wellbeing. Thus, my research interests also include child and adolescent education, development, mental health, and social justice. I enjoy employing both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to investigate topics and am interested in integrating inter- and transdisciplinary perspectives whenever possible. For my research degree, I am currently investigating the role of Ocean Literacy in wellbeing and pro-environmental behaviour, and the psychosocial impacts of South Australia’s 2025 harmful algal bloom.
