I am a Lecturer (Online Course Facilitator) at Adelaide University, with a background in mechatronic engineering, data science, and computer science. I hold a PhD in Computer and Information Science with a focus on bioinformatics, alongside bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mechatronic Engineering. I have over a decade of experience in higher education across Australia and Colombia, teaching data analytics, machine learning, experimental design, and programming in online and blended environments. I have led course redesigns that significantly improved student satisfaction and engagement, with a strong focus on clear structure, authentic assessment, and real-world datasets.
 
My research focuses on data science, causal inference, and bioinformatics, with applications in cancer research and digital education. I work on developing and applying data-driven methods to understand complex biological and learning processes. I have peer-reviewed publications and hold awarded patents in biomedical and rehabilitation technologies..
