Amanda Hayes is a Higher Degree by Research Candidate at Stretton Health Equity (SHE) in the Stretton Institute, University of Adelaide. Her research interests focus on understanding the extent to which South Australian food and agricultural polices support a healthy, equitable and sustainable food system in South Australia. Amanda is currently part of a team working on an ARC funded project investigating the health and environmental impacts of Australian food policies.
Amanda is a nutrition scientist, a lawyer, and a researcher. She comes to her role as a researcher in food policy at SHE from a career spanning aviation law, project management, and arts administration. Her interest in public health nutrition led her to completing a postgraduate master’s degree in human nutrition.
