Eligible to supervise Masters and PhD - email supervisor to discuss availability.

Hello!
Welcome to my home page! I am a Senior Lecturer in Nutrition with interests in both physical activity and nutrition, having completed a bachelor’s degree in Human Movement (with Honours) and a Masters of Dietetics (I am an Accredited Practising Dietitian).
I completed my PhD at the University of Adelaide where my research investigated the combined effects of omega-3 fatty acids and aerobic exercise on cardiovascular risk factors. Following that I commenced a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the USA at the Pennsylvania State University, where I conducted numerous controlled clinical interventions primarily in the area of cardiovascular nutrition. Since returning to Australia I have been an active member of the Alliance for Research in Exercise, Nutrition and Activity (ARENA). My research explores the benefits of dietary patterns, foods and bioactives on athletic performance, and cardiovascular, cognitive and respiratory health.
I am passionate about nutrition science and am Honorary Editor for the Nutrition Society of Australia (NSA). I have also served on the NSA Adelaide Branch Committee and the National Registration Committee for the NSA Registered Nutritionist Scheme, which aims to recognise and encourage high standards of professional training in nutrition.
