Alice is a lecturer and researcher in UniSA Creative. In 2014 she completed a Ph.D. examining the use of websites and social media by third-sector organisations.  One of the award-winning, long-standing projects she worked on was the  Sustainable Online Community Engagement Project, in which students created communication products and services, such as websites, which were hosted by the university. The project also provided training to community organisations in how to maintain their websites. Her research interests include communication in third-sector organisations and work-integrated learning. She is also the Discipline Lead for the Diploma of Arts, course coordinator, and lecturer at the South Australian Institute of Business and Technology.
