Alexandra is a Research Associate working as part of the BetterStart Child Health and Development Research group lead by Professor John Lynch within in the School of Public Health.
She completed her Honours degree of Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences in 2017 under the supervision of Dr Rhiannon Pilkington and Dr Catherine Chittleborough. Her Honours thesis investigated children’s injuries as part of a child focussed definition of potentially preventable hospitalisations.
Alexandra currently works with the BetterStart team on the South Australian Early Childhood Data Project, one of the most comprehensive early childhood administrative data resources in Australia. Her current work examines children who come into contact with the child protection system and early identification of children at risk of maltreatment.
