Higher Degree by Research Candidate
PhD Candidate
School of Physical Sciences
Faculty of Sciences
PhD Candidate at the University of Adelaide.
Thesis topic (September 2014 - Present):
Understanding the Provenance of South Australian Asphaltites and Tar Balls and their Potential Implications for the Petroleum Systems of the Great Australian Bight - Mapping the Spatial and Geochemical Relationships.
Supervisors:
Dr. David McKirdy (UofA)
Dr. Tony Hall (UofA)
Dr. Andrew Ross (CSIRO)
My PhD research forms part of the Petroleum Geology and Geochemistry theme for the Great Australian Bight Research Program - a collaboration between BP, CSIRO, the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI), the University of Adelaide and Flinders University. The aim of the research program is to improve our understanding of the environmental, economic and social value of the Great Australian Bight.
Previous research interests:
The Neoproterozoic carbon isotope record and the rise of complex life on Earth (February 2012- March 2014)
