Ahmed Saudi is a PhD researcher at the Laser Physics and Photonics Devices Laboratories (LPPDL) group within the School of Physics, Chemistry and Earth Sciences, College of Science at Adelaide University.
His PhD research focuses on the development of compact & ultra-stable Frequency microcomb based on waveguide lasers platforms. His work targets advanced applications in precision optical metrology, astrocombs and high-resolution spectroscopy.
He obtained his M.Sc in Experimental Physics from the Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Egypt, in 2024, and a (B.Sc.) degree in Physics from the Faculty of Science, Beni Suef University in 2015. His research interests include optical frequency microcombs, waveguide lasers, optical fiber systems, and frequency metrology.
Ahmed is an Assistant Researcher in (Primary Length Standards & Laser Technology Lab) at the National Institute of Standards (NIS), a position he has held since July 2024, following his role as a Research Assistant from April 2018 to July 2024.
