Adnan Mulaibrahimovic
Research Technician
Adelaide Medical School
Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences
Adnan has performed a broad range of laboratory procedures in 20 years working in technical capacity on medical research projects. Previous experience with histology equipment and a broad range of technical procedures, including resin embedding and cutting sections whilst working in the Endocrine Unit, SA Pathology, IMVS, led to employment with the Adelaide Centre for Spinal Research from 2006-present. He has contributed to bone histology projects within the Adelaide Centre for Spinal Research (University of Adelaide/ SA Pathology). In this role he has prepared histology sections from animal and human tissue (fixation, embedding, microtome sectioning), and performed staining and immunohistochemistry for analysis. This role has also given Adnan the opportunity to work closely with a number of students, whom require close supervision when learning to safely use histology equipment. His input to research projects has contributed to multiple journal publications, conference presentations and student theses.
