Mohsi Jawaid, is a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the University ofAdelaide. Prior to commencing his doctoral studies, Mohsi earned a Bachelor of Computer Science (Advanced) from the foundational University of Adelaide.
During his undergraduate tenure, Mohsi received a series of distinguished accolades, including multiple ExecutiveDean’s Awards, the Maptek Prize for Computer Science (awarded for the highest aggregate score in his second year),the Australian Computer Society award (for the highest aggregate score in his final year), the Governor’sInternational Award in the academic category, and the Oracle User’s Group prize.
Mohsi’s research concentrates on Computer Vision and Machine Learning, with a particular emphasis on generativemodels for synthetic data. His PhD project addresses the domain gap between synthetic and real imagery forspacecraft pose estimation, employing event‑sensor technology to enhance robustness and accuracy.
Under the Australian Institute of Machine Learning, I am conducting research in Domain Adaptation for the task of Spacecraft Pose Estimation.
