Aaron Hermann

Aaron Hermann is a Visiting Research Fellow with the Law School and the School of Medicine. He also currently holds positions as an International Visiting Researcher with the Law School at the University of Innsbruck in Austria and the School of Economics at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia.

He has worked in various fields of academia and private industry in areas such as Sports, Law, Forensics, Management, Marketing, Organisational Psychology, Cross-Cultural Studies, Migration Issues, Anti-Racism, Counter-Terrorism, International Business, Archaeology and Diplomacy. Aaron has been teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate courses since 2007 throughout the world, in countries including Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia, Singapore, Finland and Germany. In 2016 Aaron received the Executive Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence from the University of Adelaide.

Aaron has been working as a consultant, researcher and policy adviser in the area of Human and Minority Rights protection in the Balkans, having worked with numerous governments and international organisations in the areas of migration rights, policies and ethnic equality.

Aaron also currently works as an international sports consultant to major international sporting bodies and sports teams in the areas of management and anti-doping policy, sports development and integration. He is also currently an international law and counter-terrorism consultant for a number of international organisations and governments.

Aaron received his PhD from the University of Adelaide focusing on an interdisciplinary study of Sports Criminology and Doping from the perspective of International Law, Policy, Medicine and Business. For his research Aaron received a Dean’s Commendation for Thesis Excellence in addition to numerous scholarships, and has been interviewed by various international media outlets.

He has received professional training from several international organisations including the United Nations, Union Cycliste Internationale, Federation Internationale de l'Automobile, International Rugby Board and the Nationale Anti-Doping Agentur Deutschland.

Furthermore, Aaron has language skills in a number of European languages including Austrian, German, Luxembourgish, Croatian and Slovenian.

Aaron has complimented his experience by volunteering his time to various social and cultural groups and international organisations in both European countries and Australia.
