Anh Do is a multidisciplinary designer, educator, visual artist, and researcher specialising in visual communication design. She has over 17 years of academic experience in Vietnam, including senior teaching and leadership roles as Vice Dean of Art Education and as faculty in Applied Arts. She has also served as an international coordinator, establishing partnerships with universities across the region.
Over the course of her career, she has contributed to curriculum development, studio teaching, and the supervision of projects ranging from brand identity and interactive design to illustration and animation. Through this work, she developed a particular interest in research on display and kinetic typography, especially the diversity of Latin‑based writing systems beyond English.
Currently a PhD candidate at Adelaide University, her research adopts a practice-led approach centred on Vietnamese display typography. Her project investigates its historical development and distinctive visual qualities, with particular attention to monosyllabic and tonal language systems. Through a combination of archival research, visual analysis, and contemporary design practice, she seeks to develop culturally sensitive and contextually informed approaches to its contemporary application.
Her research contributes to broader discussions on typography, visual communication design, and visual identity, bridging academic inquiry and professional practice. She is committed to interdisciplinary collaboration and international knowledge exchange, with a focus on expanding the cultural and visual diversity of typographic discourse.
