I am a Lecturer at the Adelaide University. I have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from Khulna University in 2002. In the same year, I joined as a Lecturer in Computer Science and Engineering Discipline at Khulna University. I completed Master of Science in Media Informatics from RWTH Aachen University and Master of Science in Informatics from the University of Edinburgh.
I received a PhD degree in Computer and Information Sciences from University of South Australia (UniSA). I was awarded the International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) from the government of Australia for pursuing my PhD in 2012-2016. After completing PhD, I started academic teaching at UniSA STEM. In 2018, I moved to UniSA Online (UO). I also completed a Graduate Certificate in Education Studies (Digital Education) in 2023. I have returned to UniSA STEM in 2023.
I am currently leading few projects in teaching and learning including personalised learning with special focus on developing personalised assessments (funded by UO Research Incentive Fund), development of artifical intelligence (AI) powered intelligent learning system to provide automated feedback, and designing an integrated online supervised assessment facilitating environment. I am also involved with other current projects including mapping educational materials and assessment for the AI era, evaluating online assessments (funded by UO Research Incentive Fund), Classroom Assessment Techniques (CATs), and assessing the impact of ChatGPT on assessments.
